Author > Maintenance
Every resource normally has an author or a producer or artist. That name is what would be entered in the author file. The program will automatically join the first and last name into a lookup field with last name first. This will make looking up an author more simple and allow reports to be sorted correctly.
Maintain Author
The fields in the author file are:
First Name - not required,
Middle Initial - not required,
Last Name - Required,
Disapproved - when checked this author is disapproved,
Full Name - formatted by the application.
Update author information
There are books that do not have an author but MLM wants an authors name. In this case you will have to enter a single word name to be used in cases like this. For example: Unknown, or Anonymous could be used.
