A window can be thought of as a piece of paper. Where the application is a desktop, all of the open windows are like pieces of paper. These papers can, and will, be on top of one another. Many windows can be opened while in the program. If you have a number of windows open the most recently accessed window will be on top. In the example above the update window is as large or larger than the window below. The parent window is still there, it is just covered. Again like sheets of paper on your desk.
Windows opened earlier will be underneath and if smaller can be hidden by window on top. Remember the window that currently has focus will be on top. To see the list of open windows click on the Window selection from the Main Menu Pull-Down.
In the image above there are three windows open. The parent resource window. The Edit window where the selected resource's information may be changed. And lastly the author lookup window. If the author's name needed to be added there would be another window allowing the user to add a new author.
