Your Firewall and Computer Protection |

Media Library Manager must connect to the Internet to retrieve the requested data. Every computer has a combination of a firewall and security protection to prevent spy ware applications from connecting without your knowledge. I fear it is a sign of the times, any good man manages to create; other men will find a way to use it for evil.
I have installed on my workstation Norton Internet Security. So like any good security application it questions LIBRARY.EXE attempting to connect to the Internet.
This is the warning that is displayed when I attempt to connect. Notice the recommendation is to block the connection. Clicking on the drop box I see other options.
I can now connect using LIBRARY.EXE and the MARC Lookup function. There is a timing function that will force the first warning to be displayed if MARC Lookup is not used for some period of time.
I have a laptop with the Zone Alarm free Internet firewall installed. The first time an attempt was made to connect Zone Alarm asked what I wanted to do. The settings I selected allow LIBRARY.EXE to connect without objection this first time and every time in the future.
