How MARC Works |

To use the MARC Lookup function you must enable it. See Program Options for instructions.
Next there has to be an open Internet connection. That is all that is needed. When the Add button is clicked the MARC Lookup window will open. There is also the option to select from 50 or 60 MARC sites. Here you can select your favorite sites which is the default Search Option.
Enter the ISBN in the entry field.
Click the Globe button to the right of the ISBN entry field. The function will attempt to connect to the Internet and return the requested data. Before the connection is complete the first time, depending on your firewall and Internet security software, you may have to verify you want the connection to be made. Once the connection is made and the ISBN is found in the Library of Congress Voyager database the information will be displayed.
Above is the complete record for the ISBN that was requested. Notice the Result message: Record Found. If the number is not found there will be a Not Found message displayed.
