There will never be a reason to select the Dot Matrix tab.  None of the programs developed by RCL Software directly support DMP printers.

The label selections are separated by the type of printer.  Either the dot matrix or laser printers are the two options.  The laser settings are used for ink jet printers and are the most commonly used printer.

If you attempt to print a label to the wrong type of printer you will see an error message explaining the problem.

Update Labels

There are some predefined labels listed and they should serve your needs well.  This programs only label printing feature is mailing labels.  There are fairly standard design offered my many office supply stores and discount centers.

Here you can design a new label format to use if you have a specific need.  The current mailing label procedure will print to any of the defined formats.

A standard label can be modified to fit our needs by changing one or more of the parameters.

The horizontal setting can move the text either to the right or the left by enter using positive or negative numbers.

Special Note: Do not change any of the major setting for the spine/pocket labels with the exception of the horizontal and vertical settings.  The margins for these labels were entered to match the specific dimensions from the vendor.

We know longer support DMP printers with any of our labels.  If you have an older version of MLM please delete the Type DMP records from the Label Definitions file.
