The Main Menu and the toolbar is how the user is to access the different functions of Media Library Manager. Use the the menu to access every portion of the program. Use the icons on the toolbar to access the features that are used the most.
Default view when the main program window is open
The icons on the toolbar will open the most used functions of MLM. From left to right:
1. Check out resources,
2. Check in resources,
3. Maintain resources,
4. Maintain patrons,
5. Maintain volunteers,
6. Search Switchboard,
7. Backup data files,
8. Cut text current field,
9. Copy text current field,
10. Paste clipboard contents into current field,
11. Clear current text field,
12. Undo last change to current text field, and
13. Exit MLM.
Selections 8 through 12 are only enabled when adding or editing a text field.
After selecting the Loan menu option
To use the main menu simply click the menu selection to open the associated options. The example above we clicked the Loan option.
After selecting the Circulation option
After clicking the Loan option you will notice that some of the options have an arrow on the left side. This means there are sub options related to the parent. Circulation has two options: Checkout and Check In. Clicking either one will open the window for that function.
