The restore function is part of a different program that is started when Easy Church Membership is running.  Launching the program will close the running Easy Church Membership on that workstation.  It is important to understand if a restore is started while any workstation is running Easy Church Membership the restore will not be successful because any open files can not be replaced by the backup program.

 

There are 3 steps to restore previously saved data: select the archive file name, select where the data is to be restored to, and lastly clicking the Start button to begin the restore process.

Click the icon to the right of the first field to open the file manager dialog window.

Select the drive letter in the Look In drop down box at the top of the window.  You will have to know what the drive letter Windows assigned to your removable device.  And you will have to know the file make of the ZIP file that contains your backup.

 

Get you will have to select where you want to restore the data files.  Click on the icon to the right of the Restore To entry field.  Unless you changed the folder during the installation select medialibrary.  If you used a different folder you will have to select it.

Click the large Start Data Restore button and the restore will start.  This process can not be reversed unless you have a backup of the current data on the hard drive on another disk.

MLM will give you one warning before the restore process starts.  All the files that are in the MLM database and all INI files will be replaced by the restore process.

When the restore process is complete a message will be displayed.  If you select the "Don't Show this again" option the message will never display again.
