Almost every window with a list box has search capabilities. When one of these windows is first opened the user will be focused on the list box. There will be a red band around the list box to show you where the focus is located.
If the focus is around the list box It is not necessary to move the cursor to the search entry field. A search will function more efficiently with the focus at the default location. Once a window is opened start typing the first few letters of the first word or phrase you want to find. The application will do all the work as you type each letter. You will find Langer long before you have typed the entire name.
If the focus is around the Search text field enter the search criteria and press the enter or tab key.
See author search, subject search for examples.
